Last month, 77 Diamonds reported on the auctions taking place at Sotheby’s Hong Kong. In particular the 118ct Oval diamond and the 7.59ct Premier Blue Diamond were our diamonds of interest!

The 118ct diamond was set with an estimate of $25-35 million and went for a jaw dropping $30.6 million. The lucky person that purchased the stone also gets to name it so we’re looking forward to hearing the name of this beautiful stone.
Unfortunately however, the Premier Blue diamond – the largest of its kind to ever go to auction only had bids of $16 million when it had a reserve of $19 million. Maybe your husbands/boyfriends can get it for you next time?
